Fort York Food Bank gets a makeover from ET Canada

ET CanadaThe Fort York Food Bank is an amazing program that helps provide the basic nutritional needs to families who are struggling. Their programs consist of providing a three-day supply of groceries to low income families, counseling for resolving any issues, a drop-in center with a kitchen, internet access and clothing as well as skills training classes. What the Fort York Food Bank represents is hope to those less fortunate. This message is definitely important this season, so to help spread this message of hope, Shaw Communications and ET Canada united to renovate their location. They were able to get donations from far and wide, including new appliances from Future Shop and junk removal from none other than ourselves. The before and after was incredible to witness as they gutted out the place and put in new appliances and decorated the room. It was an amazing episode to watch getting everyone into the Christmas spirit. If you would like to donate to the Fort York Food Bank you can do so here at http://www.fyfb.com/donate.asp.
