Labour Day Weekend Spells the End of Summer

     0votes

As we approach Labour Day weekend here in Canada, I thought it would be a great opportunity to write a blog about this statutory holiday.

Labour Day falls this year on Monday September 2nd and all provinces and territories celebrate this holiday. The holiday celebrates worker solidarity.

Labour Day weekend is a great opportunity for people to head to the cottage, go camping, check out fireworks or just relax.

Here are some other great ideas:

CNE International Airshow

CNE International Airshow

The show takes place on the waterfront at Lakeshore and performances this year include the CF-18, Snowbirds and Trojan Horseman. It is free to watch. Learn more about the airshow.

Labour Day Classic

The CFL weekend classic is a staple for football fans. This year it is the Winnipeg Blue Bombers against the Saskatchewan Roughriders who match off on Saturday. Check it out on TV or head to Regina.

Niagara Falls

One of Canada’s most iconic tourist attractions draws lots of visitors in on regular weekend. Labour Day should be nuts. There will be fireworks as well as the Busker Fest  running from August 30th to Sept 1st.

What will we be doing this weekend?

We will be off Monday but open Saturday and Sunday for your junk removal and dumpster rental needs.
